Breaking Borders

by | 2 Jul, 2022

Breaking Borders aims to explore the intersection of multiple narratives and discourses in the arts.  The exhibition brings together the work of seven artists across a range of disciplines including painting, video, photography, sculpture, and performance, engaging in a mix of conversations with the exhibiting artists through artists’ talks and performance contributions. The group exhibition intends to be an organic project mixing and matching artists from all disciplines to contribute to a national and global conversation about overcoming all sorts of barriers.

Breaking Borders has the potential to become a global and inclusive physical virtual space with no barriers and with a proactive approach to delivering new forms of cultural experiences and tackling the challenges facing the changing landscape of the arts, as a result of socio-political pressures. This future-facing project will be accompanied by a series of onsite and online events, and discussions focused on the perception of a globalised and dislocated life.
